Every week, families come to Downtown Dog Rescue with pets who need medical care they simply cannot afford. Some have no transportation. Some are living in temporary housing. Others are choosing between paying rent and paying for veterinary care.

We believe no one should have to surrender a beloved companion because veterinary care is out of reach.

Our Community Veterinary Clinic exists to remove those barriers.

Over the first six months of 2026, our clinic provided:

• 1,462 veterinary appointments

• 1,059 spay and neuter surgeries

• Thousands of vaccines, examinations, follow-up visits, and preventive treatments that kept pets healthy and with the families who love them.

Providing this level of care required an investment of $246,649, an average of $169 per patient.

Today, the greatest challenge facing our clinic isn't demand. It's creating reliable funding.

Our Goal

We're building a permanent Community Veterinary Clinic Fund that provides $20,000 every month through recurring donations.

Unlike grants, which begin and end, monthly support creates a dependable foundation that allows us to schedule surgeries, purchase medical supplies, retain experienced veterinary staff, and continue serving families without interruption.
