I am conducting my dissertation research study and need help finding Pit Bull dog owners who would like to participate! My project is designed to examine how Pit Bull owners and their dogs are each handling various situations. Participants should be at least 18 years of age, reside in the U.S.A., and own any of the following types of dogs: Purebred Staffordshire Terriers, Purebred Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Purebred Bull Terriers, Purebred American Pit Bull Terriers, or Pit Bull Type Mixes (i.e. at least a 50% mix that includes any of the breeds indicated above.)
Participation in this study will involve the completion of a brief survey about how owners and their dogs typically react in various real-life situations. Participation is anonymous and will take approximately 15 minutes to complete; participation may help identify ways to improve pet-owner satisfaction and assist in decreasing pet abandonment.
