HAMSTER

Hamster’s Story…
Hamster was rescued from the West LA shelter where he was originally adopted as a very young 8 week old puppy but returned a couple of months ago at one year old because he was too much dog for the family. He lived with small children, other dogs, even cats and did very well. Like most pit bull mixes, he is energetic and needs to be walked and exercised. He loves other dogs and could go to a dog park everyday, he would love it. He is still growing, weighing about 60lbs now, he knows basic obedience, is house trained, has been neutered, microchipped and is current on his vaccinations.

Kiwi’s Story…
Kiwi is a 9 year old Chi-Jack Russell Terrier that has lived her whole life in one home, in Compton and has been very loved by her senior citizen owner. She is good with other dogs, loves everyone she meets. Her story is a sad one, animal control came to the house and wanted to take Kiwi to the pound just because her owner was two dogs over her limit. How could anyone be so heartless, 9 years in the same home, no bites on record, no problems, just because the legal limit is three. The three that are staying are older and in one case is a black pit bull that would probably never be adopted. Obviously, she needs to go to one home for the rest of her life. She is very healthy and is the type of dog that might have 9 more years of life, she is very lively. Downtown Dog Rescue is helping her senior citizen owner deal with rehoming two of her small adoptable dogs to save the lives of the others who are older and not so adoptable. Kiwi weighs about 20lbs, has been spayed, current on her vaccinations. Her ideal home would be a quiet one where she is the center of attention, loved and cared for as she has been all her life.

Majick’s Story…
Majick is truly a magic dog! He is approximately 2 years old, has been neutered and is current on his vaccinations and is microchipped. He walks beautifully on a leash and LOVES other dogs of all sizes. He is the size of small Great Dane which is still really big. He is an intelligent, super friendly dog with people and all dogs that he meets on and off leash. He is even ok with cats! Majick is a Dobe + Great Dane mix that was dumped in a shelter and was rescued by Karma Rescue. He is living at the Downtown Dog Rescue kennel with 23 other dogs that he loves to play with. This is a WONDERFUL dog that you will love at first meeting. Thriller’s Story…
Thriller is approximately one year old and has spent his entire life with his owner living outside, on the streets and in the parks in Compton. Downtown Dog Rescue vaccinated, neutered and micro chipped him as a young pup and we have watched him grown up. His owner went to jail and because Thriller was wearing a DDR ID tag, a friend of his owner called us and we were able to rescue him immediately. He is currently in a foster home with lots of other dogs and cats. He is extremely loving with people and other dogs. A medium size dog, he weighs about 50 lbs, is in super health and has no behavioral or health issues that a potential adopter should be concerned about. Basically, Thriller is “good to go!” He has never had a home and your home would be his first. Please consider adopting this well socialized, trained dog that is so deserving of a good home.
