SEE VIDEO ALSO ON THIS PAGE! Jax is a quiet, thoughtful 2 year old boy who did not have the best start to life. He spent a year living in a cage, enough to make anyone frustrated! Jax is a sensitive soul looking for a human who understands he is a little socially awkward, yet has a very loving side. Jax is part playful, part sleepyhead, part affectionate, and a part independent. He will say hello in the morning, and go about his playing independently, taking a nap or watching out the window. He has learned how to entertain himself quite well. If you are looking for a cat that is independent, yet would love to play with his human in the evening and relax by your side, he may be the one for you. Jax does not really understand how to socialize with other cats. Although he currently lives in a home with 2 senior pit bulls and another foster cat, his foster feels he would prefer to be the only cat in his adoptive home. We feel the best home for Jax would be a calm and quiet adult home where Jax can be adored as the only pet. WILL CONSIDER FOSTER TO ADOPT, OR FOSTER HOME UNTIL ADOPTED. This is a courtesy listing for another rescue group. Please read dog’s entire written bio before contacting rescue. To inquire about this dog, you do not need to press any special buttons on this website. Send a regular e-mail to Janet Cook at: adopt@angelsheartdogrescue.com. Please provide some information about your home, family and other pets. Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue is a private, foster home based rescue. There is an application process that precedes meeting a dog. I answer emails quickly. Please also check your spam folder for an email reply from the rescue, or provide a phone number whereby you may be reached. Thank you! SEE VIDEO ALSO ON THIS PAGE! (The video is a two-part video that goes from inside to outside) I have received very few inquiries in poor Tater Tot; seemingly, because he only has three legs. But Tater Tot is a very special boy and we hope that you will read his story! Tater Tot ended up at the Moreno Valley Shelter where no one came looking for him. He was going to be euthanized, due to his injury, and they needed a rescue to step up to take on the care and cost. Tater Tot had an old dislocated elbow injury, whereby our orthopedic surgeon stated that he would not have a good prognosis for repair, therefore, Tater Tot had to have an amputation. But that does not stop Tater Tot! And we KNOW that that is not a reason why sweet Tater cannot find a loving and forever home! Tater Tot is a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix that weighs about 11 lbs. and is age two. His personality is basically sweet and quiet, a cuddle bug and affectionate, and he has a gentle soul. He is also a very happy boy! (But he always looks very serious in photos, but please do not let that fool you!) He is gentle and quiet, while being happy and content. I really like him in that he also has a bit of an independent side, whereby he does not always have to be glued to me and he can go up on the human bed and chill on there, or on one of the pet beds on the porch to sun himself. However, he also loves to be by my side and follow me too, wagging his tail always! He gets along with other dogs, and enjoys being part of the pack. He loves cuddling on the same pet bed with the other dogs; he gets a sense of contentment being near them. Tater Tot seems to prefer a calmer environment, though he does have a bit of a playful side and also enjoys toys. Tater Tot has good mobility, and being a small dog, having only three legs is not an issue (you should see him leap up onto the human bed!). His surgery site is all healed; however, his hair is still growing back in. He is quite potty-trained (however potty reinforcement is needed in any new environment) and also crate-trained but he prefers if his little sleeping crate is near me. He loves his little rawhide stick as a bedtime snack and happily runs into his little crate to get it! (A crate is good as a transition tool to a new place, but Tater Tot is totally trusted outside of the crate as well.) Tater Tot also knows how to navigate the doggie door. You can tell that Tater Tot wants to be someone’s special boy; he is a sensitive dog who longs for a special bond with his human, but he also gets a great sense of contentment being symbiotic with the other dogs. We hope to find someone who has a kind heart and will not mind that Tater Tot is not “perfect.” We think his personality is stellar! He is a joy for this rescuer to have around and he has never been a problem. (NOTE: All adopted dogs must be primarily indoor dogs, with outdoor access for play, potty - No dog can be excluded or left primarily to an outdoor area.) I tend to feel that a home that has a free access yard, even if small, and a home that has an appropriate doggie companion, to be a good fit for Tater Tot, but I aim to keep an open mind for the right home! So if you are looking for a gentle soul to be your constant companion, or a companion to your already existing dog, Tater Tot may be your guy! Please contact me to discuss Tater Tot further! To me, he is a keeper; he is truly one of my favs! Who will open their heart to Tater Tot? ? Tater Tot is neutered, fully vaccinated (including rabies), Front-lined, dewormed, and micro-chipped. If you are interested in Tater Tot, please contact Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue at: adopt@angelsheartdogrescue.com. The phone number to the rescue is: 626-340-9316. There is no need to phone the rescue unless you do not receive a response from your email. Please also visit my website at: http://www.angelsheartdogrescue.com and go to the Adoption Tab to read about the adoption process and fees; thank you!

Lexy is a gentle and affectionate dog with a desire to follow her person and show her love with lots of attention and kisses. She has a fantastic mix of joyful play and mature calmness. She is crate-trained, house-trained, and walks well on leash. She is being fostered in a home with both small and large dogs, and enjoys interacting with both. She shows very little interest in the two cats in the foster home. Lexy is also gentle with children so makes a great family dog. With her desire to please, she is easy to train, and takes simple corrections perfectly. At the shelter, their guess was that she is about 8 years old, but she has a young dog’s soul, so do not call this spiffy gal a senior, she is far from slowing down! Lexy weighs about 52 pounds and has the slender Boxer body type. She had some small masses on her body, which is very common for dogs her age, but they have been removed, biopsied and they were benign, teeth cleaned, blood work looks very good so she is ready to start her healthy new life in her forever home. If you are looking for a medium energy dog to adore you, be a loving and faithful companion, and keep a smile on your face, Lexy is your girl! This boy is a character. He is a handsome big ball of muscle with warm eyes, friendly wiggles, and happy smiles. He is age two, approximately 80 lbs. He was found tied up in an alley during the blazing hot days of summer. Luckily for Hank, a Good Samaritan came to his rescue and now he is doing great! Hank likes the low-key sofa style life, but during playtime, he's all about doing Zoomies around the yard and playing with a ball. "Chase me!" Hank is a good dog for someone who • Loves the energy and optimistic spirit of Pit Bull Terriers • Has knowledge of the breed and understands that he needs balance and structure first, before being showered with affection. • Wants an enthusiastic, always ready for a new adventure partner • Wants a buddy to go hiking or running with - Wants to wake up to this beautiful face every day for keepers! Hank loves the heck out of people, but can be picky about his dog friends. He is house-trained and kennels well, but a sofa would be his personal preference. The home we seek for Hank is one where the adopter is a strong alpha human and has previous knowledge of this breed, or other power breeds. No infants or toddlers please, as Hank can be quite exuberant when he feels the urge. We will consider families with children who are old enough to understand how to be respectful of a dog. He has the start of some great manners! He walks great on a leash, takes treats gently, and is a big love. His adopters will have to be ready to provide supported guidance for him to grow up to be a great ambassador for his breed. Hank is neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on his shots. He has a large white chest and perky ears; he's darling. Bruno is a mature adult dog at 8 years old. When Bruno was a young puppy he lived at Downtown Dog Rescue when it was just a parking lot and two volunteers. He was a very happy dog who was quickly adopted. Sadly, his owner passed away and he is back at our kennel. A little older and wiser, he is again looking for a home. Bruno lives at our kennel in South Gate. He came back to us a little out of shape, too many treats, plus, he went through ACL surgery. Because of the extra pressure this created on his opposite leg, Bruno has to take it easy. No long hikes or dog parks for this guy. He needs a simple life with someone to love who will give him some snuggles, short walks and a super soft bed. He is a very sweet boy who will be easy to manage. He does not mind other dogs but prefers to have his human all to himself! He would do well in most homes with no small children or other pets. Bruno lived with a dog sibling most his life, but now that he is older he wants to relax and be the only dog. We cannot blame him! Meet Peter! Peter is a pit bull mix (possibly mixed with Boxer) who was found wandering the streets of Lancaster, California. When a Good Samaritan approached Peter with half a treat and bowl of water, he went right to them, ate the treat, drank the water and willingly walked with them to their car. He knew he was safe that day and was so happy that he was not wondering the streets anymore. The Good Samaritan took Peter to the vet and found out that he had a microchip. When Peter’s previous owner was contacted, they indicated that they did not want Peter back. Essentially, they had abandoned Peter. Peter knows basic commends (seat, stay, etc.) and he is quick learner. He is house-trained and will let you know if needs to go to the bathroom. Peter loves getting attention, giving kisses and getting a massage. He is a gentle dog with people and loves to be where his people are. Peter loves to go on walks, but he is very strong and is learning not to pull. Peter would do best in an active household as an only dog. He is about age 5 and weighs about 65 lbs. Peter is located in Ontario, California. He is already neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on his vaccinations. SEE VIDEO ALSO ON THIS PAGE! Princess Daisy is a young adult Pit Bull who we rescued from South L.A. Shelter when she was 4 months of age. She would do best in a house with a yard as the only dog where she can exercise running around, lay in the sun and relaxing, and hang out with her owner and live an easy life! She must be a companion dog to the humans, both indoors and out. At three years old she weighs 75 pounds and is fully grown. Princess Daisy is a beautiful dog with perfect eyeliner just like a Geisha! She is very calm and affectionate in the house and loves to lay by your feet and relax and is happy to greet every person that comes around, but will get anxious walking on leash on busy streets with people running/jogging, bicycles and skateboards coming towards her. Princess Daisy needs a confident and patient owner who will continue to work with her being out and about in the big world if that is desired, HOWEVER she would be very happy to be a “house dog” and live an easy life with you in and out of the house and go for car rides which is one of her favorite things to do, and most of all, being close to her person and getting tummy rubs!
