Adoption application (copy and paste link): https://bluemandog.org/adoption-application/ Email: info@bluemandog.org See video also on this posting, copy and paste link: https://youtu.be/O6pN_vEQ_3Q Meet the wonderful litter of six puppies, 5 boys and 1 girl. They are 6 weeks old now and will be ready to go home when 9 weeks old and neutered around Dec 8. They will mature at around 12-16 pounds fully grown. Three of the boys are white/tan, Pippin, Picasso, and Spiffer. Pippin is a sweet and playful boy on the calmer side at this point, he is the thoughtful one out of the bunch. His hair is long and silky. Picasso is the biggest puppy with shorter hair and he is very happy and playful. Spiffer has more tan in him and looks like a mini golden retriever pup and is very pleasant and fun. The guess is that some of the puppies have a spaniel or Maltese dad or some maybe a terrier dad. It is a guess, but none of them looks like their mom Elvi who is a tan, short haired Chihuahua mix. Elvi was found on the streets very scared and very pregnant and turned in to a shelter. The shelter is no place for a young mom to have her babies and they reached out to us and asked if we could take her. We did and she had her puppies a week later. They had their first shots just now at 6 weeks old and were de-wormed. They will get second set of shots, get microchipped and neutered in a few weeks, and then be ready to go home. All the puppies are already well socialized with people and very happy and healthy and are enjoying growing up with all the brothers and the little sister and of course their mom. If you are interested in raising a puppy and all the work that goes along with that, please fill out our adoption application (copy and paste link): https://bluemandog.org/adoption-application/ If you have questions; Email: info@bluemandog.org. The adopt fee is $400.

This is a courtesy listing for another rescue group. Please read dog’s entire written bio before contacting rescue. To inquire about this dog, you do not need to press any special buttons on this website. Send a regular e-mail to Janet Cook at: adopt@angelsheartdogrescue.com. Please provide some information about your home, family and other pets. Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue is a private, foster home based rescue. Though there are some steps that precede meeting a dog, they are quick and expeditious. Thank you! SEE VIDEO ALSO ON THIS PAGE! NOTE: I would like to speak a bit about the rescue movement. Over the years, I have realized that many are very specific, only wanting young, super cute, and nearly perfect. They are hoping to put in very little work; additionally, their complaint is that there is nothing out there but pits and Chihuahuas. They say they do not want to purchase a dog, and want to rescue, but at the same time, their expectation is more or less the same as if they purchased a dog nonetheless. Part of the rescue movement IS reaching out to the pit and Chihuahua mixes, the slightly older dogs, the senior dogs, and the black dogs. It is opening up your scope of love to the underdog, the dogs left behind, and not being so quick to discount the many dogs out there in desperate need for someone to love them, work with them a bit, and provide them with a loving home. Please keep this in mind as you search for your new canine companion, and as you read Agatha and Allie’s bio. Thank you! Agatha (Aggie) and Allie are two sweet girls who were rescued from the Devore Animal Shelter. Allie was rescued first, but she was noticeably depressed and disconnected. The rescuer suspected there was a counterpart and went searching. It was discovered that her bonded “person,” was on a transport list to the State of Washington the very next day! (Further investigation revealed that they were lost from the same home and no one ever came looking for them.) We rushed to stop the transport and Agatha was reunited with Allie at Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue. When Allie saw Agatha again, Allie was very happy! Both dogs are very sweet and mostly quiet and mellow. Both dogs are cherubs and big tail wagers. Allie is more shy and timid, until she knows the person, looking to Aggie for confidence and security, while Aggie is more spunky and gregarious. Both dogs are around 7-8 lbs. Both dogs are good eaters (not picky) and love treats. Agatha is about age 5 and Allies is about age 2-3. This is still very young for small dogs. Agatha (Aggie) is warm and enchanting in her personality. She wants to jump in your lap and be your friend. She is not like many Chihuahua types who only stick to one person. Her coat is mostly black, but with white markings. We are sad that many black dogs are discriminated against, even when they have darling personalities. Black is a very rich color and many great dog breeds are black. Also, when there are some white markings, the dog is mistaken to look “old” but please do not misunderstand; white markings does NOT mean gray hair or an old dog. Agatha is very young and full of spunk and her teeth are in great shape. She loves to follow me around, be held and cuddled, and gives kisses! We hope to find someone who will give her a chance and see what a great little pal she is! Allie is very sweet too. She is SUPER cute with her tri-colored coat. She LOVES to cuddle with her dear sweet Aggie and be by her side as much as possible. She loves to follow me around too, and sneak in a kiss and sit near me as well. Allie’s teeth are also very good. One merely has to be more patient with her to allow her to build trust. Both dogs are well crate-trained and sleep quietly throughout the night in their crates (here at the rescue, dogs are crated to eat, sleep, and if I have to leave the house for a bit). They both enjoy their food and a little rawhide stick at bedtime. They are doing pretty well with their housetraining, and with more repetition and reinforcement, should be stellar. Neither dog shows any destructive tendencies in the house, and in truth, they mostly just like to chill on a pet bed nearby in a main room or on a pet bed in the office while I work at the computer, occasionally running around and playing with each other, which is very cute to watch. They also share pet beds with the other dogs at the rescue, large and small. The home we seek is one where people will embrace a bonded pair. They cannot and will not be split up nor will we allow them to be split up post adoption. I feel that they would be fine with cats with the proper introductions and adjustment. They both get along just fine with all the other dogs at the rescue. Both girls are spayed, fully vaccinated (including rabies), Front-lined, dewormed, and micro-chipped. If you are interested in discussing this duo, please contact Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue at: adopt@angelsheartdogrescue.com. The phone number to the rescue is: 626-340-9316. There is no need to phone the rescue until you have first submitted an interest via e-mail. Layla is a 5-year- old either pure-bred Boxer, or Boxer mix (she is possibly mixed with American Bulldog) who melted the heart of her foster mom when she saw her at the shelter. She weighs approximately 75 lbs. Layla was turned into the shelter by her family, who decided that having a human baby trumped keeping Layla. Confused by the sudden change and loss of her family, Layla became very depressed in the shelter. After being in the shelter for a year and losing a tremendous amount of weight, she would just lay in the dirt completely shut down. Fortunately for Layla, her foster mom saw what a wonderful dog Layla could be and pulled her from the shelter and brought her to her boarding kennel to help her find her forever home. Since Layla was sprung from the shelter, she has gained weight and is a beautiful girl that has become more balanced. Sometimes she can be a bit shy at first, but once she trusts you, be prepared to be overloaded with love and kisses. Layla has completed full obedience training, is crate-trained, and knows how to use the dog door. Her favorite things are sun-bathing, playing fetch, and chasing any critter that will run. Layla would make a great running/hiking partner and has a perfect pace. She is always ready to jump in the car to go out for an adventure. The home we are seeking for Layla is one with an owner who is experienced with large dog breeds. She would do best with a confident leader. On walks, Layla does wonderfully on leash; however, she needs to feel that she can trust her human to be balanced enough to handle any situation or she will become protective. If she thinks you are weak and cannot protect her, she will be happy to lunge at a dog to keep you safe. Layla is a great girl and her exuberant personality definitely shines through. She has the true boxer happy, ready to go personality. If you are looking for a big, bold, beautiful girl to go on adventures and lounge around the house with you, we would love to hear from you. He has a large white chest and perky ears; he's darling. Bruno is a mature adult dog at 8 years old. When Bruno was a young puppy he lived at Downtown Dog Rescue when it was just a parking lot and two volunteers. He was a very happy dog who was quickly adopted. Sadly, his owner passed away and he is back at our kennel. A little older and wiser, he is again looking for a home. Bruno lives at our kennel in South Gate. He came back to us a little out of shape, too many treats, plus, he went through ACL surgery. Because of the extra pressure this created on his opposite leg, Bruno has to take it easy. No long hikes or dog parks for this guy. He needs a simple life with someone to love who will give him some snuggles, short walks and a super soft bed. He is a very sweet boy who will be easy to manage. He does not mind other dogs but prefers to have his human all to himself! He would do well in most homes with no small children or other pets. Bruno lived with a dog sibling most his life, but now that he is older he wants to relax and be the only dog. We cannot blame him! Meet Peter! Peter is a pit bull mix (possibly mixed with Boxer) who was found wandering the streets of Lancaster, California. When a Good Samaritan approached Peter with half a treat and bowl of water, he went right to them, ate the treat, drank the water and willingly walked with them to their car. He knew he was safe that day and was so happy that he was not wondering the streets anymore. The Good Samaritan took Peter to the vet and found out that he had a microchip. When Peter’s previous owner was contacted, they indicated that they did not want Peter back. Essentially, they had abandoned Peter. Peter knows basic commends (seat, stay, etc.) and he is quick learner. He is house-trained and will let you know if needs to go to the bathroom. Peter loves getting attention, giving kisses and getting a massage. He is a gentle dog with people and loves to be where his people are. Peter loves to go on walks, but he is very strong and is learning not to pull. Peter would do best in an active household as an only dog. He is about age 5 and weighs about 65 lbs. Peter is located in Ontario, California. He is already neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on his vaccinations. Meet Jax, a 1 1/2-year-old gray tabby, who lived patiently at Petsmart for a year waiting to be adopted until a Good Sam felt that a foster home would suit him better for a chance at a real home! He is a well-adjusted boy - the unsettled beginnings of his life did not seem to rattle him at all. Jax is great at entertaining himself but would love to have a cat playmate. He currently lives in a house with two cat-friendly Pit Bulls and does great with them, but does not engage in play with them. He really enjoyed playing with the cats at Petsmart, so we are looking for a home with a feline companion. Jax has a laid back personality most of the time, but becomes a track star at about 9am and 9pm which is short lived. He will seek out affection from time to time and becomes super loving if you walk in the kitchen as he feels you are making him something great to eat. He is great at directing his scratching to his scratcher, and loves to gaze out the windows and dream of the adventures he would have. So if you are looking for a simple, happy boy who can be a bit naughty (but not in the destructive way) - he could be the one! (Jax would do best in a home with former cat owners. If there are children in the house we would ask for older children that understand and are respectful or cats.) She is very calm and affectionate in the house and loves to lay by your feet and relax and is happy to greet every person that comes around, but will get anxious walking on leash on busy streets with people running/jogging, bicycles and skateboards coming towards her. Princess Daisy needs a confident and patient owner who will continue to work with her being out and about in the big world if that is desired, HOWEVER she would be very happy to be a “house dog” and live an easy life with you in and out of the house and go for car rides which is one of her favorite things to do, and most of all, being close to her person and getting tummy rubs! Are you a person that would enjoy giving this girl a chance to have a great life? She would love to be your one and only and she will be the most loyal and loving friend you will ever have! Princess Daisy is crate-trained, house-broken, spayed, microchipped and has had all shots including rabies and is a very healthy dog.
