PITStop Community Assist: CUTIE needs a HOME!

HI ! My name is Cutie. I am wearing a beautiful Sable Cinnamon coat, a pink nose and beautiful brown eyes. I am an American Staffordshire Pit bull Terrier mix. I an updated on all my shots (10-16-2010) including a microchip implant (11-6-2010) and waiting to be registered when I become adopted.

I just came out of spay surgery on November 6th, 2010 and have been instructed no long walks for two weeks. – WHAT a relief ! –
No more kids ! It will take me 3 to 4 months to get my shape back! The vet estimates my age to be approximately 2 – 3 years old.

I am a rescued person that had been homeless since April of 2010 but was finally saved October 16th, 2010. I became homeless because the property owner lost the property and my owner lost his rental unit. The new owner did not want me – I guess because of the way I looked. The contractors for the new owner were nice to me and came everyday – they gave me water and brought me their kinda food.

When I was rescued and taken into the temporary foster family, I was so crestfallen and beside myself – I wept for two weeks every time I ate my food or went for a walk because it was always the food was for me and I didn’t have to eat garbage any more. The walks reminded me of what a home and family was like. I felt so unloved and discarded at first. But My temporary foster Mom/Rescuer has 3 other rescued dogs that I know – Boxer, Buddy and Nutmeg. I am currently doing the Mom-Thing playing with Nutmeg – a six month old female – she was taken from her mommy when she was about 3 weeks.

I like to go for walks in the rain especially wearing this thing called a rain coat – is this lady for real R u 4 Real or what – this was my first experience with a leather rain coat. It was kinda neat walking in the rain without getting wet. Once I get my personal business done and taken care of, I settle down into a nice walk. I like sitting and watching people, walking past and with children going to school, having a family that loves me, nice soft warm blankets, warm food on a chilly day, to be brushed, hugged, kissed and loved. . . .I also LOVE car rides and going to new places and seeing new things. I would make a good “active senior” traveling companion. I also like quiet times, just sitting and being there. I like sitting on the porch and laying in the sun. I am not a barker, but when I do on those rare occasions I have a very deep big dog bark – kinda amazing considering my size – I only weigh in under 30 pounds.

I have my own website for further information about all the organizations and people that have contributed to my welfare:
