FRIDAY SHOUT OUTS: Giving Thanks

This week was a special adoption week for many of the volunteers of DDR and especially Lori and one great pitty with a dream. Indeed we want to give thanks in HUGE PROPORTIONS. Our beloved CocoPuff with his long standing dream got adopted!!!!

After living in the DDR kennels for three years, Coco Puff never even got one single inquiry, application or visit. It would seem that no one was interested in him until last week. An
“out of the box” adoption, Coco Puff has finally found someone that will care for him for the rest of his life. Coco Puff will now be an active road dog in San Pedro, traversing the streets with his pack leader. It would only seem right that Coco would do the Thank You honors this week-

Ready Coco? GO!

On behalf of DDR, I would like to thank first of all the person who adopted me…Errol. It’s nice to finally have someone love me and take me into their life. Thank you Errol! Lori and a lot of DDR volunteers and friends are cheering us on! You made my dream come true! A special thanks too to Cynthia Larkin for introducing you to Lori and DDR so you could find me!

Talking about new beginnings…DDR would like me to extend a HUGE thanks to Cesar and Illusion Millan and the foundation named after them,The Cesar and Illusion Millan Foundation for their generous donation to assist with medical care, boarding and spay/neuter surgeries for the 61st Street Kennel dogs. Providing care and support for all the dogs rescued from the 61st Street kennels earlier this year posed a big financial and logistical challenge for a fairly small rescue like Downtown Dog Rescue and with the great news we got this week, namely the Foundation’s assistance, we can now continue to provide the needed care to give them and more dogs another chance for a good life. Thank you Sean Hawkins from the Foundation and of course thanks to Cesar and Illusion Millan!

Wow! Thanks Coco…Coco!?! Coco’s asleep!

He’s been walking the streets of San Pedro with Errol, being introduced as the new road partner! He’s pooped! lol! Ok, go ahead and sleep Coco!!! Live a happy and long life — we will miss you so please make sure to visit once in a while! We love you very much and know Errol will take care of you as you will do the same for him.

Well….it’s been a wonderful week
with good news and wonderful beginnings!
